A complete PSA 10 Fossil set costs $131,702 as of July 10, 2026 — every tracked chase card across both printings (1st Edition and Unlimited), priced at gem-mint fair market value from real eBay and Fanatics sold comps. That is the number, and the rest of this page is the itemized bill: what every holo costs in PSA 10 per printing, why the basket just jumped 81% in a single month, and what the same set runs in PSA 9 for less than a tenth of the price.

The total is computed live by our Fossil market index and moves with every verified sale — this article re-prices monthly. It is one chapter of the full WOTC set-cost guide, and its population twin is the Fossil pop report.

How Much Does a Complete PSA 10 Fossil Set Cost?

$131,702. That covers the 24 Fossil printings our index tracks with live comps: the full fifteen-holo chase run in 1st Edition, plus every Unlimited holo that trades often enough to price honestly. And it is the hottest number in the hobby right now — Fossil was the biggest gainer of any index we track in July, up 81% month over month. Here is the same basket over the last six months:

Complete PSA 10 Fossil set: cost to build, 2026Monthly · Fossil index · real eBay & Fanatics sold comps

The shape is worth reading closely: flat through early spring, a dip in June, then the July spike. Complete-set cost is a price series, not a demand series — and this move was led by thin Unlimited grails repricing, above all the Unlimited Dragonite, up +1337.5% on the month to $7,380 on a pop of just 60 gems. When a card that scarce catches a bid, the whole set total moves with it. For the population side of the same coin — how many of these gems even exist — see the Fossil pop report.

What Does Every Fossil Holo Cost in PSA 10?

The itemized bill, all fifteen holos, both printings side by side. Every card links to its live price page; the footer row is the complete-run total. A dash means that printing has no tracked PSA 10 comp in the archive — six Unlimited holos (Aerodactyl, Haunter, Hitmonlee, Hypno, Kabutops, Lapras, Magneton) trade so rarely in gem mint that no verified 10 has crossed the tape recently. Those are real gaps in the market, not gaps in the data — and they mean the true all-fifteen Unlimited number is higher than the footer total. The 1st Edition column, unusually for a WOTC set, is complete: every stamped holo has a live gem comp.

Two rows in that table deserve a note. The 1st Edition Dragonite's $24,000 is a verified April 2026 gem sale — one of the largest Fossil prints on record. And the Unlimited Lapras shows a dash because no verified holo gem sale exists in our archive at all; its $250PSA 9s are the only live market, and a 10 always prices above the 9 of the same card. Treat every cell as "last verified sale," not "what you'd pay tomorrow."

How Much of the Cost Is Just Gengar?

27% of the entire set cost is one card — the $35,000 1st Edition Gengar, the most liquid non-Base WOTC grail of 2026. Add the $24,000 Unlimited Gengar and the two printings of one ghost are 45% of the bill; add the 1st Edition Lapras, Unlimited Dragonite, and 1st Edition Articuno and the top five printings are 71% of it. Fossil follows the rule that holds across every WOTC set: complete-set costs are grail-heavy. Here is the card that is most of the number, live:

The practical consequence cuts both ways. If you want Fossil exposure, the Gengar is the position and everything else is rounding. If you want the complete-set achievement, you can own fourteen of fifteen 1st Edition holos in PSA 10 for $63,805 — and still be 27% short of done by cost. And here is the card that drove the July move — two sales, wildly far apart, on one of the thinnest gem markets in the set:

How Much Does a PSA 9 Fossil Set Cost Instead?

$7,807 for the fifteen-holo 1st Edition run in PSA 9 — roughly a tenth of the gem-mint version — and the tracked Unlimited holos in PSA 9 run just $2,854. This is the sane-collector build: the same cards, the same stamp, one grade down, at a discount that exists because of grading scarcity, not card scarcity. The PSA 9 vs PSA 10 guidecovers when that discount is a gift and when it's fair, and the PSA 10 value calculatorprices any single card's premium.

What Is the Cheapest Way to Complete a Fossil Set?

Three builds, in ascending order of pain:

  • 1st Edition PSA 9 run — $7,807. Every holo, stamped, for about a tenth of the gem bill — the entire run costs less than a single 1st Edition Lapras in PSA 10.
  • Mixed all-gem path — $50,401.All fifteen holos in PSA 10, taking whichever printing is cheaper for each card. Note this beats a pure Unlimited build: the Unlimited run's $28,032 footer total only covers nine holos — the other six have no tracked Unlimited 10 to buy.
  • 1st Edition PSA 10 run — $98,805. The trophy build, and — rare for WOTC — one you can actually finish, since every stamped holo has a live gem comp. Plan the Gengar last: it is 27% of the budget, and everything else in the set is liquidity practice by comparison.

Whichever build you pick, the live deal feed surfaces below-market graded Fossil inventory across Collector Crypt, Courtyard, and Phygitals, and the Fossil investing guide ranks every holo on this bill by the numbers.

Fossil Set Cost FAQ

How much does a complete PSA 10 Fossil set cost?

$131,702 as of July 10, 2026, across the 24 tracked printings spanning 1st Edition and Unlimited — priced from real eBay and Fanatics sold comps and re-priced live on the Fossil index.

How much is a complete PSA 10 1st Edition Fossil set?

$98,805 for the full fifteen-holo 1st Edition run — and unlike most WOTC sets, every stamped holo has a recent verified gem comp, so that is a real, buildable number. The $35,000 Gengar is 27% of it.

How much does a PSA 9 Fossil set cost?

$7,807 for the 1st Edition holo run, or $2,854 for the tracked Unlimited holos — the same cards at roughly a tenth of gem-mint cost.

Why did Fossil prices jump in July 2026?

The basket rose 81% month over month — the biggest move of any index we track this July — led by thin Unlimited grails repricing, above all the Unlimited Dragonite (pop 60) at $7,380. One or two sales on cards that scarce can move the whole set total; the July market report has the full mover board. Nothing here is financial advice.

Keep the number live: the Fossil index re-prices this entire page daily, the WOTC set-cost guide puts all fifteen sets side by side, and the Fossil pop report — one chapter of the full WOTC pop report — shows how many of these gems exist at all.
