The Best Expedition Cards to Invest In (2026): Every Holo Tracked, in PSA 10
On this page
Expedition opened the e-Reader era: no 1st Edition (the single print run IS the scarce printing), a huge checklist, and gem floats that round to zero. Its Charizard holo trades five figures, Venusaur ran 4x this year to $5,160, and most of its 30+ holos have single-digit gem counts. Every holo tracked below. All prices are real PSA 10 sold comps from CardboardSniper's pricing engine (eBay and Fanatics auction archive), not asking prices — the same data behind our Skyridge tracker and the rest of the investing series.
Nothing here is financial advice. Cards are a real but volatile asset class. Here's what the data shows.

Reading This Set
e-Series card stock and foil made gems brutally rare, and Expedition's dual-numbered starters (two Charizard slots) confuse listings — the number is the card. There is no 1st Edition: any stamp claim is fraud.
How High Can Expedition Go?
Total market value: collectibles as an asset class, next to gold, mega-cap tech, and crypto.
The right column is how many times bigger each one is than the entire collectibles market. Collectibles are already a real asset class, larger than a top-ten crypto like Dogecoin, yet still a fraction of a single mega-cap stock and barely a rounding error next to gold. That gap is the runway: as collectibles mature into a transparently priced, investable asset class, the best cards have room to re-rate that the giants no longer do.Figures approximate, 2026: gold = all above-ground gold; equities = market cap; crypto = network value; collectibles = estimated global market size. Bars use a log scale for visibility.
And the returns case is on the board:
Matching Expedition to Your Risk Tolerance
Everything in this set trades thinner than modern cards: limit orders, auction patience, and pricing off the tracker (not listings) are the edge. Where a cell above shows a dash, no recent gem market exists — treat those as unpriced, not worthless.
How to Buy Expedition Safely
- Price off sold comps, never listings, via CardboardSniper's value calculator and this tracker.
- The printing is the card: verify stamps, symbols and card numbers before the name.
- Assume fakes at the grail tier. Cert-verified slabs are the floor.
- Get pinged when one lists below market. The CardboardSniper scanner watches eBay and Fanatics for this exact card and grade around the clock.
Investing in Expedition on Graded
Everything this tracker measures, CardboardSniper does live: real fair-market values with the value calculator, and the live deal feed where below-market listings surface.
